NEW DELHI: The food ministry on Tuesday revised wheat allocation for 11 states under the PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojna (PMGKAY) for the remaining period of the scheme till September while increasing rice allocation for them to avoid any scarcity-like situation amid a record decline in wheat procurement by the Food Corporation of India ( FCI ) and other government agencies during the current marketing season.
