Emergency Use Listing for Covaxin: Why it matters?

Representational Image New Delhi: As the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) expert panel on Covid-19 meets today, all eyes would be on India’s Covaxin as it awaits the much-coveted Emergency Use Listing (EUL) authorisation from the top health body. The Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech had applied for the EUL in mid-July but the authorisation has witnessed multiple delays so far. As per the committee’s agenda for the meeting, the issue will be taken up by the Strategic Advisory Group of Expert on Immunization (SAGE).
