Election Commission issues social media guidelines for candidates

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday announced the schedule for the 17th Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in seven phases beginning April 11. Announcing the election schedule during a press conference, CEC chief Sunil Arora also announced social media related guidelines. According to the Election Commission, the candidates will have to furnish the details of their social media accounts at the time of filing their nominations.
